News
- June 2006 - Jeffrey D. Given, PE has assumed the role of Corporate Secretary in addition to his position as Director of Procurement. Jeff's assumption of the role as a corporate officer will allow the firm to continue its growth into the future. The move also signifies not only the firm's belief in Jeff and his future with the firm but also the staunch belief that the future of the firm rests squarely on the strength of our current management team.
- May 2006 - Philadelphia Business Journal names Loftus Construction as One of the Top 25 Fastest Growing Private Companies in South Jersey.
- April 2006 - Lindbergh Boulevard Bridge Project was awarded 2005 American Society of Highway Engineers, DEL-VAL Section, Project of the Year - under $5 million. This project was managed by Jeff Given, PE and was constructed for PennDot, at a value of $2.5 million and involved the construction of a single span bridge over Amtrak lines and associated roadwork. The project was completed on a fast track basis in approximately three months.
- April 2006 - Maple Avenue Bridge Project was awarded the 2005 American Concrete Institute, DEL-VAL, Section, Heavy Civil Project of the Year. This project was managed by Jeff Given, PE and constructed for the NJDOT at a cost of $3.4 million and involved the construction of a three span bridge over railroad tracks in Haddonfiled, NJ.
- March 2006 - Robin Kronenwetter joins Loftus as a Project Engineer. A 2000 graduate of Drexel University, Robin will be providing engineering support on the frim's Huntingdon Place project.
- January 2006 - Karin DiVece has been promoted to the position of Business Manager. In this capacity, Karin will be responsible for A/P, A/R, Payroll, Commercial Insurance, Subcontract Administration and Human Resources as well as managing the firm's administrative staff. Karin has been with Loftus since 2001.
